Embroidered golf headcovers: what stitches well and what to send
Every Swing Supplies headcover and putter cover is embroidered, not printed: your logo is stitched into the cover in thread. Bold shapes and a few solid colors stitch cleanly, and gradients, fine detail, many thread colors and small lettering are what usually needs a simpler version.
What to send
PNG, JPG, PDF or AI. A high-resolution PNG is ideal, but any good image works, even a photo. If the logo will not stitch cleanly, we ask for a simpler version you already own, such as a wordmark or the logo mark on its own.
What stitches cleanly
- Bold shapes and solid colors.
- A wordmark or the logo mark on its own when the full logo is busy.
- Lettering large enough to stitch: very small text is one of the usual problems.
- Embroidery has a maximum number of thread colors per design, so a logo with many colors may need a simpler version.
- Gradients and fine detail are among the usual reasons a logo does not stitch cleanly; a flat version of the same logo usually does.
We never redraw your logo. If it needs a simpler version, we ask for one you already own.
Thread color and the mockup
Thread and Pantone shades can vary very slightly from the digital mockup once stitched. That is normal with embroidery and does not change the overall look, and we say it before you approve.
How a headcover order is priced
Pricing depends on the product and the quantity, and larger quantities carry a lower price per piece. The exact price appears in the order builder once products and quantities are chosen. Orders over 500 pieces are quoted personally. Standard ground shipping to one address in the contiguous US is included in the price. Hawaii, Alaska, international and split shipments are quoted separately.

We do not make printed headcovers, so we do not quote or compare them here.

Are your headcovers embroidered or printed?
Embroidered. The logo is stitched into every headcover and putter cover in thread; we do not make printed headcovers.
What logo file format do you need for embroidery?

Yes. You get a free mockup of your logo on the product within 24 hours of sending your logo, before you pay anything, and nothing is made until you approve it.
